Faculty Spotlight: Analytics, AI, and Decision Making with Donnie Hale
Led by Donnie Hale, Teaching Assistant Professor in Business Analytics
What actually makes a model “intelligent” and how can you put that intelligence to work today?
In the session, we’ll explore large language models (LLMs): how they’re built, why they behave the way they do, and what their capabilities mean for business. From there, we’ll move from theory to practice, using Google Notebook to show how AI can speed up research, synthesis, and decision-making in real time.
You’ll leave with a clear mental model of how modern AI works, a grounded sense of what it can and can’t do, and hands-on experience with tools you can use right away in your graduate business program and beyond.
11:30-12:15 PM
