What type of job would you like to have after completing the MAC Program?
I would like to start out in public accounting as a staff accountant, specifically in audit.
Do you have any advice or tips you would like to give prospective students looking at applying to MAC programs?
I would advise students to apply to summer internships that will allow them to get their feet wet in many different parts of accounting. You will learn what comes naturally and what you enjoy doing. Also, diversify your resumé with clubs and projects that relate to the field of accounting.
Why did you choose the NC State MAC Program?
I chose the Jenkins MAC Program because it was close to home and they have a large number of alumni that has excelled past the program. There are also many different paths that they took with the same degree. This showed me that the program will prepare me in many different ways for whatever career path I choose.
What are your expectations while attending the MAC Program?
I expect to gain specialized experience that was not covered in general classes. I also expect to learn how to prepare for the CPA exam.
What are you looking forward to the most while in the Program?
I am looking forward to building professional relationships with my fellow graduate students that will carry forward into our future careers.
