CPE Summer Series
The Lifelong Learning Virtual CPE Summer Series features three one-hour virtual sessions.
Sharpen your skills and earn CPE hours. The Virtual CPE Summer Series is open to any interested accounting professionals—including MAC alumni and their colleagues, public accounting and industry partners. Lifelong Learning programs are delivered in collaboration with NC State Executive Education.

This session will focus on helping professionals navigate decisions related to their mid-career phase, such as whether to stay in their current position or explore new opportunities. It will cover topics like assessing career satisfaction, evaluating potential career paths, considering professional development options and making informed decisions about the future.
Nicole Andrews is a vice president of human resources and career coach. Nicole has been a featured speaker of the NCACPA and was an HR manager in a national public accounting firm. She is based in Greenville, SC.

Empowering Impact: Navigating Nonprofit Board Service a a CPA – led by Bonnie Hancock, professor of practice, Poole College of Management–REGISTRATION CLOSED.
Bonnie has an extensive background in nonprofit and for-profit board service. Bonnie has served as the chair of the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of North Carolina Coastal Pines, and has also chaired the National Associate of Corporate Board Directors (NACD) Research Triangle Chapter.
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this session participants will be able to:
- Gain an understanding of the nonprofit sector, including expectations of board members and typical challenges and opportunities not-for-profits face, enabling CPAs to navigate board service effectively.

Status of Sustainability Reporting and Challenges in Standard Setting – led by Jeffrey Hales, PhD, International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) member and executive director of the UT Austin Global Sustainability Leadership Institute–REGISTRATION CLOSED.
The ISSB is developing—in the public interest—standards that will result in a high-quality, comprehensive global baseline of sustainability disclosures focused on the needs of investors and the financial markets.

Refund: For group internet based webinars offered via MAC Lifelong Learning, all sales are final. Full or partial refunds will not be issued for failure to attend one or more of the virtual events offered as a subscription. Refunds will not be issued if attendees fail to attend or do not complete the required actions to earn CPE credits. Attendees who do not attend or do not complete the required actions to earn CPE will receive a link to the recording of the event after the completion of the course. This recording does not qualify for CPE credits.
Cancellation: In case of program cancellation by MAC Lifelong Learning, when practicable, all registered participants will be contacted via-email with at least two weeks’ notice. Pro Rata registration fees will be refunded to all participants when the event was not rescheduled.
