Highlights of your experience teaching in the MAC program:
I am continually impressed with the level of talent within the MAC program and specifically in my tax class. A large portion of the course involves an ASC 740, Accounting for Income Tax, case study and I always get a lot of enjoyment out of watching the dynamics of each student team. They always do such a good job, ask relevant questions, and make insightful presentations.
What are the MAC students like in the classroom?
The MAC students in my classroom ask intelligent questions, are interactive, thoughtful, and reliable. They are very focused and connected with the course content. They keep me on my toes!
Do you have any advice to prospective students on what to expect from the MAC curriculum?
The more effort that a student puts into the MAC experience, the more they will get out of it! I believe it will be a challenging year but they will exit the program with a great education that will serve them well as they move forward with their career in the accounting profession.
Something personal you would like to share:
After spending 36 years in public accounting with Deloitte Tax, I find the academic experience extremely satisfying. In my spare time I like to ride my horses (Baby & Barley) and play with all my dogs and cats. I am a big animal lover who volunteers with animal rescue organizations.
