Accounting Internship Recruitment (AIR)

Sponsored by the NC State Jenkins Master of Accounting Program, the Accounting Internship Recruitment (AIR) Program helps top NC State accounting undergraduates secure spring or summer internships before applying to the Jenkins MAC Program.

 Why an Accounting Internship?

An accounting internship enables you to:

The AIR Program consistently places most of its students in internships, with a majority leading to full-time job offers.

Minimum Requirements

  • Enrolled at NC State
  • Minimum 3.2 GPA
  • Completed ACC 310 and/or ACC 311 and earned at least a B
  • Faculty nomination
  • Future applicant to the Jenkins MAC

Recruitment Activity Information

Internship for Credit

AIR participants are encouraged to register for the Internship for Credit Class – ACC 499. Earn 3-6 credit hours while doing a full-time internship. Prior approval is required. See your academic advisor to include in your plan of work.

Do Well Academically: Strive to make A’s and B’s in all your courses.
Get to Know Your Professors: Strong relationships may result in referrals and nominations.
Engage in Extra-Curricular Activities: Join Poole College of Management clubs, university clubs, athletics and community organizations.
Take Advantage of Undergraduate Career Service Resources: Participate in workshops, ePack, career fairs, and information sessions.
Gain Experience: Apply to part-time jobs, internships and leadership conferences.
Demonstrate Leadership: Participate in case competitions and other leadership-building opportunities.
