What type of job would you like to have after completing the MAC Program?
I am currently working in the state/local tax field as an Audit Manager at the North Carolina Department of Revenue.
Do you have any advice or tips you would like to give prospective students looking at applying to MAC programs?
Be prepared to be engaged and challenged! Don’t be afraid to ask faculty and current students questions. Once enrolled in a program, be sure to connect with your classmates!
Why did you choose the NC State MAC Program?
I had such positive experiences as an NC State undergraduate. It continued when I enrolled in the Tax, Analytics and Technology certificate program and became a NC State Jenkins MBA candidate. The NC State Jenkins Master of Accounting program was the only choice!
What are your expectations while attending the MAC Program?
My expectations are to expand my skill set and to continue to learn and grow.
What are you looking forward to the most while in the Program?
Though I have several years of state/local tax experience, I am looking forward to broadening my knowledge base in other areas of accounting (federal taxation, audit, IT, etc…). Also looking forward to connecting with others in the program, which is already happening!
Anything else you would like to share?
I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support of my wife Susan, 3 year old daughter Samantha, and pup Sophie!
