Myriad Genetics’ CFO Bryan Riggsbee ‘94 Named Spring Commencement Speaker

Poole College of Management has announced Bryan Riggsbee, chief financial officer of Myriad Genetics, as the spring 2022 commencement speaker. Poole College will hold an in-person commencement ceremony at PNC Arena on May 7 that will be also livestreamed. 

Riggsbee joined Myriad Genetics, a molecular diagnostics company, in 2014 to assist the organization in continuously working towards understanding the role that genes and proteins play in the onset, progression and treatment of diseases. Prior to this role, he served 10 years with Laboratory Corporation of America (LabCorp) where his most recent position was as senior vice president of Corporate Finance with responsibility for the financial planning and analysis and treasury functions. 

“We are honored to have Bryan Riggsbee inspire our spring graduates,” said Brian Clark, executive director of development and external relations. “Bryan has continued to show his passion for supporting Poole College and the educational experience of our students. We know our students, their families, and our Poole College community will enjoy having him share his journey and experience in celebration of our 2022 commencement.” 

Riggsbee received his Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Poole in 1994 and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Additionally, he earned a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University. Riggsbee is also a certified public accountant in the state of North Carolina. 

Riggsbee is no stranger to the stage at Poole College as he was a featured guest in an installment of the Wells Fargo Executive Leadership Series where he discussed his time at NC State and how it prepared him for his career and leadership roles.
