Poole Professor Explains Tax Implications for NC Sports Bettors

Tax season is officially here and if you gambled on sports in the last year, you will likely owe money. Queen City News turned to Nathan Goldman, Poole professor of accounting, to discuss how North Carolina sports bettors could owe money on their winnings and losses this tax season.

“This is creating this very unknown tax circumstance.., a tax circumstance that hits you so far down the road that it’s not really on your radar,” he said.
