Applications are now being accepted for the 2019 Andrews Launch Accelerator at NC State University. NC State students or recent alumni in any discipline who are interested in starting a business or are launching a startup are welcome to apply.

The deadline to apply is Tuesday, March 26, 11:59 p.m., and applicants will pitch their startup concepts to the Accelerator team on April 30.

“The purpose of the Accelerator is to give NC State founders the opportunity to jump start their entrepreneurial journey. We provide founders with the funding, resources, and guidance to take their startup to the next level,” said Gabe Gonzalez, Accelerator program manager.

The Accelerator is powered by the $1 million NC State Acceleration Fund and provides up to $50K in funding for early stage companies coming out of NC State. The money is distributed in grants, so no equity ownership is taken.

Those selected for the 2019 Accelerator will participate in a 14-week program that begins May 14 and continues through the summer, completing modules covering key entrepreneurial topics such as customer discovery, product development and fundraising. They also will meet weekly with assigned Accelerator executives in residence..

The modules conclude with the Andrews Accelerator Demo Day at which the Accelerator companies pitch to top investors in the Triangle.

Those who are interested – or know someone who might be – are encouraged to read more about the Andrews Launch Accelerator and to contact Accelerator Program Manager Gonzalez by email at (gegonzal@ncsu.edu), for more information.
