Background – where are you from originally?

I am from India, but have travelled a lot.

Past work/leadership experience/activities in college

I am currently working for Wake County School Systems as a Python Instructor. I have been teaching for the past 3 years, before that I have taught music. I worked in the software industry as a Software Engineer and a Team Lead for over 7 years. I have also been a TSA Advisor and a National Honor Society Advisor at Wake County School System.

What type of job would you like to have after completing the MAC Program?

I want to focus on advisory/audit and would like to be involved with data analytics.

Do you have any advice or tips you would like to give prospective students looking at applying to MAC programs?

Your personal statement is your connection between your life and the university, make sure that speaks a story of your life, your aspirations and what you have achieved.

Why did you choose the NC State MAC Program?

NC State has an amazing program that includes industry related experiences and research based programs. It also academically challenges you, both individually and at the group level.

What are your expectations while attending the MAC Program?

I want to do research and learn and explore new concepts in Accounting. I want to create long lasting connections and learn effectively.

What are you looking forward to the most while in the Program? 

I look forward to working with my group, my professor, and learn new things in a new field. I also look forward to the opportunities to make new connections.

Additional information you would like to share?

On a personal note, I have travelled many paths, from customer service to software engineering, from music to being an educator, a mother, and now accounting, every one of this was a path to this dream. I love learning new things and exploring the world around me.
