Madison Bell

Undergraduate School/degree:

North Carolina State University – BS in Accounting

Background – where are you from originally?

I was born and raised in Burlington, NC where I lived until coming to NC State for undergrad.

Past work/leadership experience/activities in college

I have previously interned with Dixon Hughes Goodman in their audit department, served as Vice President and Treasurer of NC State’s chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, was involved with Junior Achievement, and played on the Women’s Club Volleyball team for three years.

What type of job would you like to have after completing the MAC Program? If you already have secured a job – where and what area?

Fortunately, I have accepted a full-time position with Dixon Hughes Goodman as an Assurance Associate in their Raleigh, NC office.

Do you have any advice or tips you would like to give prospective students looking at applying to MAC programs?

My advice to prospective students applying to MAC programs is to learn as much as possible about each program that you are interested in. Decide what you want to get out of a program and select the one that best aligns with those needs.

Why did you choose the NC State MAC Program?

I chose the NC State MAC Program because of the wonderful experience I had with the professors and courses during my time as an undergraduate student. NC State felt like the program for me and I cannot picture myself anywhere else.

What are your expectations while attending the MAC Program?

While attending the MAC Program my expectations include expanding my technical knowledge of accounting topics, strengthening professional relationships with classmates and professors, and preparing for the CPA exam.

What are you looking forward to the most while in the Program?

I am most looking forward to developing lasting relationships with peers and expanding my network as I begin my career.
