SUMMARY:Empowering Impact: Navigating Nonprofit Board Service as a CPA (VIRTUAL)
DESCRIPTION:Part of the Lifelong Learning Virtual CPE Summer Series for MAC alumni and friends\, this session will be led by Bonnie Hancock. A professor of practice in the Jenkins MAC program within the Poole College of Management\, Bonnie has an extensive background in nonprofit and for-profit board service. Bonnie has served as the chair of the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of North Carolina Coastal Pines\, and has also chaired the National Associate of Corporate Board Directors (NACD) Research Triangle Chapter. \nIn this one-hour session\, you will gain an understanding of the nonprofit sector\, develop skills for effective board stewardship\, and learn how serving on nonprofit boards can lead to corporate board opportunities. \nView the Full Series >> \nRegister >> \nCPE Information\n\nField of Study: Personal Development\nFormat: Group Internet\nProgram Level: Basic\nPrerequisite: None\nCPE Credit Available: 50 min\n\nRefund: For group internet based webinars offered via MAC Lifelong Learning\, all sales are final. Full or partial refunds will not be issued for failure to attend one or more of the virtual events offered as a subscription.  Refunds will not be issued if attendees fail to attend or do not complete the required actions to earn CPE credits. Attendees who do not attend or do not complete the required actions to earn CPE will receive a link to the recording of the event after the completion of the course.
